Book Club

I have become a huge audiobook lover over this past year and it has made me gain interest in joining a book club, but let’s be real, it’s hard to find the time to actually go to a get-together.

I know some people prefer feeling a book in their hands and while I do love that, I have a love more availability to listen to books than I do to actually read them. There is something about going for a long run, mowing the lawn, or folding laundry with a story in my ears that just helps the time pass by and my worries float away.

My chosen platform for affordable book listening is Everand but Audible and hard copies are great options too!

I’m sharing some of my favorite listens of the year! Consider this a book club, blog style!

Suspense

I love books that have a mixture of love, drama, and mystery. All of these books truly kept me on my toes and I’ll admit I was guilty of listening for like 4 straight hours because I couldn’t wait to find out what happened. If you are looking for some great suspense books to read then these will have you covered!

Romance

A mixture of love and loss, all of the books will pull at your heartstrings and likely be relatable in some way. Pregnancy, losses of loved ones, broken homes, domestic abuse, and a slurry of other misfortune are found in these books. Go into listening prepared to cry and feel the heartbreak of your own.

Non-Fiction

I listened to most of these books when I was deep into my running journey and seeking motivation for competing. However, all of them have great lessons about moving forward when things get hard and digging deep to discover your best self.

The degree and debt are real but the stability and career… not so much.
Day one in Grand Teton National Park was packed with views, wildlife, and some serious “am I dreaming?” moments.
